In the early days of Númenor, its people still had the friendship of the Elves of Eressëa. Among the gifts the Eldar gave to the early Númenóreans, one of the greatest was a white seedling of the tree Celeborn that stood in the middle of their island. Planted in the King's Court in Armenelos, the seedling grew into a fine White Tree that came to be known as Nimloth. Its blossoms appeared as the Sun set, and their perfume filled the night in Númenor's royal city. "I mean the Rebels. Why would they want to take over Numenor and allow us to not play in the sun everyday?" She said, leaning back against the bench happily.

"Oh..well they, I am not really sure why they want that but as the minions of Sauron the second commander of Morgoth himself they would do as they get told. But dont worry my child, there isent much they can do even if they hide and try to do many things against us they will never win." He said calm, trying to comfort her as they sat on the bench and talked.

"I dunno, it is odd but I guess, that is how some people are." She said, shrugging off the thought, watching some kittens chase a butterfly, laughing softly.

He nodded and looked down a moment, thinking about the rebels that was terrorising the land." Well there is always evil in the world, even all thought that evil would be gone when Morgoth dissapered but it seems like it is still there. Now as we live peacefully here, in the east Sauron...one of the servants of Morgoth is building an army and it will not be good."

"But is it their fault for being evil Papa. When you think of it, Morgoth, yes, but the rebels, I am sure he has lied, the rebels are not rich men Papa. I bet Morgoth told them they would be free of tyranny, of poverty. No more empty stomachs, no worried for their family. I find it hard to hate those men Papa. What do you think?" She wondered curiously.

"Indeed it is hard, but they have a choice. Instead they want to follow Sauron cause he have tricked there mind, the only thing we can do is to stand against it and change it." He sighed while looking down and then looked up and saw the white tree of Numenor infront of them, it was a great tree and the guards was guarding it. The tree was placed there as a symbol for the friendship to the Valar and the elves, it was said that if the tree got distroyed it would mean the end of men.

"But Papa, could you not change them? Surely, if they can be swayed one way, why not the other. Then there would be less wives without husbands, and children without fathers." She said wondering about it all. "I know I would die without you Papa." She smiled. "I know many others would feel the same." Tindómiel said, smiling.

Erlos smiled of her fine words and answered with a calm voice." And I would be sad without you and the others but I dont think the rebels can be changed. They have sworn ravange on us and sworn to help the dark lord Sauron. We will not let them distroy our lands, if they wish war then we shall give them war. And I will do everything I can to get peace." He smiled and looked as he looked at his daughter, she was a fine lady and she was beautiful aswell. She would get a great husband one day.

"But...how does war bring peace? How does blood settle a problem?" She asked. "Do you plan to exterminate all the rebels so that they may not return?" She asked, rather harshly. She was not mad but she did not see the point of it, or the point of the loss.

He sighed and looked away as he answered" Well...I will do what I can but exterminate all the rebels that would just couse more rebels and people would get more angry, but people will get angry if we dont do something aswell. It is a hard task to deal with it and I hope we can find out what to do about it." He turned looking at her again with a little smile and hoped the rebels didnt do anything as the spoke.

She nodded, "Okay Papa, I trust you." She smiled. She walked to the white tree and picked up two fallen flowers. Her placed one on her ear and the other in his hands. "As the Valar trust the elves, I trust you, in all you decisions for this family, and the countyr." She smiled.

Elros nodded and watched her walk to the tree, she walked elegntly against the tree and he thought his daughter was wery beautiful and the as she picked up the flowers he could smell the fresh air of the white tree who filled the whole city with a great smell. He rised up and watched her puting the one flower on her ear and she gave him one in his hand. Elros smiled of her kind words and touched her cheek gently."Thank you my daughter, you are most kind." He smelled on the flower she gave him and it was good.

"Well in a family of men, someone has to be nice!" She said jokingly, kissing him and smiling. Then she looked at the tree. "I remember when it was winter and me and admir, we climbed almost to the very top, then you had to stop our fun!" She said, pouting playfully.

He looked at her with a gently look and was happy to have a daughter that made him laugh.

"But we waited till winter so as not to hurt the flowers!" She whined as if ten again when he had yelled at them for climbing the tree. "It was unfair. I bet you did it when you were little!" She said, doing her best not to laugh.
